Hi, welcome to Vietnam! You will be met upon arrival and transferred to the hotel for check in with a private car. The remainder of the day can be spent at your leisure. Hanoi – the capital of Vietnam, is an elegant city located on the banks of the Red River with tranquil Restored Sword Lake at its heart. North of the lake are the bustling streets of the Old Quarter. Much of the city was transformed by the French when it became a French protectorate in the 1880s and there are wide boulevards and large colonial buildings which are now home to government departments and foreign embassies.

Today, getting on the coach and heading to travel to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Halong Bay, we go through the scenic countryside. The wondrous Halong Bay is truly one of Vietnam’s most impressive scenic sights. Heading out of the town we embark on a boat for an exploration of the legendary Halong Bay. Cruise amongst the bay’s rock formations and floating villages. As the sun sets, enjoy dinner onboard and your boat will anchor in the bay for the night.

Wake up early and see daylight filtering through the mist and towering rock formations, leaving you with a dream-like memory of your visit to Ha Long Bay. Enjoy a breakfast and perhaps join a Tai Chi class on the boat’s deck before disembarking and heading back to Hanoi at the late afternoon. Later, take a sleeping train to Hue.

Special Note

  • Sleeper trains usually have four-berth (or six berth sometimes) with bedroom furniture such as sheet, pillow and blanket and simple food is  served for tourists , but you could stock up some foods.
  • If you would like to freshen up before the overnight train, there are shared day use hotel rooms available.

 

Be transferred from the train station to your hotel in Hue around 11am.

Located in the heart of Hue is Imperial Citadel, a vast complex built in the early 19th century and model after Forbidden City of Peiking. Approach the city past the striking Flag Tower, where a giant Vietnamese Flag waves proudly overhead, to the imposing Ngo Mon Gate, the main entrance to the Imperial Enclosure. Enter into an area of spacious courtyard and serene Lotus Pond, and visit Dien Tho Palace where the Queen Mother lived, visit Thai Hoa Palace the magnificently decorated reception Hall, the Hall of The Mandarins, the original Nine Dynastic Urns, among the other sites.

Today you are free at leisure to explore Hue. Later afternoon, take 2 hours by train or private car from Hue to Danang.

Today, you will have a chance to experience the two – UNESCO – record cable system up to the top of the hill and enjoy the beautiful sight of Mo stream, Toc Tien waterfall with the impressive dazzling white spume.

Sightseeing on Ba Na Hill:                                                  

  • Vietnam’s Golden Bridge holding by Hands of the gods.
  • L’Jardin Zone (the French village) with French Architecture Building: Tinh Tâm Garden, French Stable, one hundred year-old pomelo tree, Old Villas.
  • Linh Ung Pagoda, 27 meters Buddha Statue, Loc Uyen Garden.

From Debay station, you will get on the second cable system to move to Nui Chua Peak – the rooftop of Da nang City. Enjoy your lunch.

Continue the tour with Fantasy Park – one of the most modern indoor game centers of the Asia. Visit Linh Chua Linh Tu temple, enjoy a panoramic view of the whole Da Nang city and Da Nang bay through the mist in a romantic afternoon on Ba Na peak. Then go down by the cable system. Get on coach and go to Hoian.

Moring walking tours with a visit  Japanese  Covered Bridge Pagoda, the first bridge on this site was constructed in 1593 by the Japanese community of Hoi An to link the town with the Chinese quarters across the stream. Sa Huynh Museum, Tran Family Chapter, this house for worshipping ancestors was built about 200 years ago with donations from family members Phuoc Kien Assembly Hall. It is typical of the Chinese clans that were established in the Hoi An area. End with visit Lantern workshop.

Later, transfer from Hoian to Danang for your flight to Ho Chi Minh. Free time in the afternoon, relax or explore dynamic Ho Chi Minh city by yourself.

In the morning tour with a visit Notre Dame Catholic Cathedral, Post Office and then we will proceed to see the Reunification Palace, War Remnants Museum, which primarily contains exhibits relating to the American phase of the Vietnam War. In the afternoon, we drive to Cu Chi Tunnels which never been discovered by American forces, the Cu Chi tunnels were an important Viet Cong base during the American War. Stretching over 200 km, this incredible underground network, dug by hand out of hard laterite. Free time at your leisure, might be shopping at Ben Thanh Market.

    I have never done a group trip before and was very unsure. Now having been experienced this I can’t wait for our next adventure, everything is planned and organised well the leader we had was so lovely leant so much in our 10 days and seen such a lot of areas. I would defiantly recommend anyone to try this as it’s fantastic. The trips are balanced well with plenty of time to shop.

    This trip was an excelent introduction to Vietnam, it culture customes, people, history, geography, and excellent food – and the crazy traffic in its cities. Everything was done to make the trip stress free with good organisation and a leader who could provide alternatives when conditions were bad. I highly recommend it.
